The analysis of variances showed significant (at the 5% level) or highly significant (at the 1% level)...

Seven fruit traits of Ginkgo maiden hair tree (Ginkgo biloba L.) were studied during 1981-1984. The purpose of this experiment is to increase the seed product ion of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) by screening a proper number of setting fruit on single plant. The thousand-grain, pholosynthetic rate and seed vitality of single-plant with different number of setting fruit were tested. The results showed that single plant set 3 fruit was suitable, when Gynoecious Typ was used as female parent to product hybrid.

Along with the decrease of the growing speed of shoots and fruits and the increase of leaf growing,the activity showed a dropping tendency, but the change of its activity related unsignificantly to the environment conditions (temperature and humidity) .The change of the activity in the growing periods of these varieties was very identical. There was a significant negative correlation between catalase activity and the percentage of setting fruit before physiological fruit drop (r = - 0.8024) . It was considered that the persentage of setting fruit in varieties or trees was related to the catalase activity.
