    The hy drodynamic behaviour of the VST of different cap configurations was studied on a perspex-model with air-water system. In order to minimize the pressure drop of the VST-plate, the nozzle-type yapour riser is preferable.The experimental results proved that the pressure drops of the modified VST are 48% 1ess than those of conventional VST ope- rating under the same conditions.

    Liquid dispersion process with a sinusoidally vibrated jet was investigated. The course of deformation and breaking of liquid jet from the nozzle was recorded and studied via a holographic technique. Experimental results with water and dibutyl phthalate were taken and the mechanism of dispersion was suggested.
