The transverse strength, maximum fracture strain, and stress-strain curve of oxy-acetylene flame sprayed Al_2O_3 coating (with 2% TiO_2 additive ) were determined by usinga four-point bend testing apparatus. The results indicate that: the sprayed coating mate-rial exhibites a non-linear stress-strain behavior; the stress-strain curve of the coating isa straight line when ploted on a log-log scale and can be represented by the formula σ_m = Eε_m~k By heat treatment at temperatures above 1100℃,sintering...

The metallic anodes are to be used in the electrolytic cells in the chlori- nealkali manufacturing industry.On the basis of the coating solution composi- tion for preparing the ruthenium oxide titanium oxide coating which gives a good result,the compositions of several tri-component or tetra-component solutions and the electrical properties with respect to the coatings so formed, have been investigated.Chloride of Ir,Pd,Pt,Co or Sn,for example,is added separately to the coating solution,comprising ruthenium chloride and titanium Chloride as the catalytically active component when the coatings are formed. Coatings of different compositions thus prepared by specified processes,exhi- bit excellent properties of low chlorine liberation potential,which is about the same as compared with those of the RuO_2-TiO_2 coating with distinctly high oxygen liberation potential and higher antioxygen corrosion. This article reports the formula compositions of the coating solutions and the operating conditions in preparing the different coatings.The data of the properties determined with regard to the coatings are also presented.
