The internal friction Q~(-1)was measured by a flexual vibration method and comparison was made with the results of both 0.45%C carbon steel and nodular graphite cast iron. The ferromagnetic damping alloy Fe-5%Al-l%Cu-Ti was melted in vaccum induction furnace. After machining off the surface of the ingot, then forged to φ5mm bar. The internal friction Q~(-1)was measured by a flexual vibration method and comparison was made with the results of both 0.45%C carbon steel and nodular graphite cast iron. The coercive force He was measured by impulsive method, the microstructure was observed and mechanical properties weie tested also. The results show that after heating an hour at 1000℃ then cooling in furnace, in air, in oil and in water respectively, the minimum He and maximum Q~(-1) were obtained in the air-cooled alloy. After heating an hour at 900℃, 1000℃ and 1100℃,the grain size increased progressively with increasing temperature. The alloy annealed at 1100℃ has maximum Q~(-1), maximum grain size and minimum He. The relationship between heat treatment and its properties as indicated above has been explained by formula Q~(-1)=3.0×10~(15) Q~(-1) is 38 times as that of 0.45%C carbon steel and 3 times as that of nodular graphite cast iron.

Fe-5%Al-1%Cu-Ti铁磁性型减振合金于真空感应炉熔炼,钢锭经扒皮后锻成φ5mm的棒材.用弯曲共振法测量试样的内耗Q~(-1),并选用45~#钢和球墨铸铁为基准进行了比较。用冲击法测量试样的矫顽力H_C,用金相显微镜作了金相观察,并测量了机械性能。结果表明:合金于1000℃,1hr保温后进行炉冷,空冷,油冷,水冷,空冷后H_C最小,Q~(-1)最大;合金900℃.1000℃,1100℃保温1hr后,随着退火温度的升高,晶粒逐渐增大,即以1100℃1hr退火后H_C最小,晶粒最大,内耗最大。用Q~(-1)=3.0×10~(15)关系式对上述不同热处理制度下性能变比规律作了定性解稀.本合金的内耗Q~(-1)是45~#钢的38倍,是球墨铸铁的3倍。

This paper describes the process of scientific research on noise reduction in 35 mm film projector, including acoustic sources identification, noise reduction measures and its effect analysis. Taking high damping alloy and other noise reduction measures, noise in projector is reduced obviouly. Facts show that high damping alloys open vast vistas for reducing vibration and noise.
