In recent years, quite a lot of harvester knives made of boronized 45 steel is used in our country to replace the original high frequency hardening of steel T_9, so that the knive's life is increased by more than two times. In order to make clear the basic principles of boronizing treatment the present work chiefly studies some characteristics and forming mechanism of boronized layer of steel 45 after boronizing in salt hath. From the experimental results and the crystallographical features of Fe_2B, using a model of diffusion tunnel of boron atoms, the mechanism of forming boronized layer of simple Fe_2B phase has been discussed and the reason of forming some structural characteristics of boronizing layer has been ex plained. Some experimental phenomena have been also discussed.

The discovery of nodular graphite presented in cast iron of the Han and Wei dynasties (from 206 B. C. to 265 A. D.) has drawn many Chinese and foreign scholars attention. In order to model this ancient cast iron, P_(08) pig iron was adopted as the charge. After about 60 heats of experiments, we are acquainted with some regularities. In case C≈2.8%, P≈0.1~0.6%, and Si≈0.2~1%, with the presence of certain amount of free sulphur (△S), Particles of graphite appeared in the solidified as-cast struture, and some of them are nodular graphite. When adrop of the liquid at 1200~1250℃ is put into water, the nodular graphite can be found also. Moreover, by annealing it for a short time, owing to the decomposition of carbide, the amount of nodular graphite increases appreciably. The author found that the contour, the amount and the distribution of nodular graphite are related closely to the contents of Si and P,and to the ratio of them, A preliminary analysis of the forming mechanism of nodular graphite under such conditions is intoduced in this paper.

自发现在汉魏铸铁中存在着球状石墨以来,引起国内外学者的重视。实验研究从仿制汉铁入手,过渡到采用P_(08)生铁熔制,进行了近60炉次的试验,取得了一定的规律性的认识。含C≈2.8%,P0.1~0.6%,Si0.2~1.0%的情况下,只要有一定的自由硫(△S)存在,凝固后的铸态组织中有石墨颗粒析出,其中有部分小石墨球。于1200~1250℃液淬亦发现有球状石墨析出。经短时间退火,渗碳体分解,球状石墨数量增加。球状石墨的形貌、数量和分布与Si、P两元数含量和比例有着密切的关系。作者对这种情况下,球状石墨的形成机理作了初步的分析和探讨。

The corrosion products consisted of Cu3(PO4)2·3H2O, Cu4 SO4 (OH)6 and Cu2O phases. The latter two phases in copperware corrosion product have ever been investigated and reported for ancient copper wares but Cu3 (PO4)3· 3H2O phase was found for the first time. In this paper forming mechanism of these different phases were studied. It is considered that they were formed before opening the grave rather than due to poor preservation afterwards. These identification results provide necessary data for studying the metallurgical technique of ancient minor nationalities and give scientific basis for preserving ancient copperware research work.

用X射线衍射等手段研究了契丹族女尸身穿的金属网套上锈蚀物的物相组成、晶体结构及化学成份。证实其锈蚀物是由Cu_3(Po_4)_2·3H_2O、Cu_4SO_4(OH)_6、cu_2O等三种物相所组成。后两种物相在过去古铜器锈蚀物研究的资料中已有报导,而Cu_3(PO_4)_2·3H_2O则是首次发现。文中还探讨了各物相的生成机理,认为上述各物相均在古墓挖掘前即已形成,并非出土后保存不善所致。这一鉴定结果为研究少数民族古代的冶炼技术提供必要数据,并为保护古铜器的研究工作提供科学依据。
