    An oil sprays made up of DDVP as the main pesticide, 1,2-dichlorobenzene as an auxiliary solvent and diesel oil as a diluent is a new processing preparation. Field tests showed that the oil spray could be used for ULV aerial application, ULV area application and area smoke spraying. Some of the advantages of the oil sprays are : high-speed in killing with poison, good effectiveness, small dosage, easy operation, wide source of raw materials, handy process, low cost and so on.

    This Paper generally describes the principal technological Properties and composition of peat. It introduces the general situation of the development of comprehensive utilization of peat at home and abroad (especially abroad in recent years) and points out the broad way of development of utilization of peat in agriculture, animal husbandry, environmental protection, metallurgy, chemical industry, architecture, medicines and as sources of energy etc.This article also presents some opinions on the development of comprehensive utilization of peat in our country for reference. The chief suggestions are as follows:(1) developing the research on gasification of peat and generation of electricity from peat so as to convert it into sources of clean energy.(2) continuing to strengthen the research and probation of peat-base fertilizers and peat-base fodders, some industrial uses Of peat humic substances (used as cathode expanding agent of battery, cement-additive, medicine, caking agent of briquette).(3) developing the research and probation of extraction of peat wax and (4) at present, paying much attention to the research and probation on the peat-base treating agents of the waste water and the waste gas in the field of environmental protection etc.

    A brief account is first given on the significance of using slag lignin as a chemi- cal grout material from the viewpoint of utilizing industrial waste, enlarging the source of grout material, decreasing cost and limiting environmental pollution. Main results of laboratory experiments are given in the article, including pro- perties and formulation of slag lignin, factors affecting setting time and strength of congelation, the permeability and viscosity as well as toxicity of slag lignin.     A brief account is first given on the significance of using slag lignin as a chemi- cal grout material from the viewpoint of utilizing industrial waste, enlarging the source of grout material, decreasing cost and limiting environmental pollution. Main results of laboratory experiments are given in the article, including pro- perties and formulation of slag lignin, factors affecting setting time and strength of congelation, the permeability and viscosity as well as toxicity of slag lignin. All this provides the experimental basis of the application of slag lignin in engineering practice. Practical examples of waterproof sealing of inclined shaft stations, signal cham- bers and power substation chambers are described in the last part of the article. 95% waterproof efficiency is achieved and in some cases of exploration drilling even 100% sealing is attained. In conclusion, the author highlights the advantages and prospects of the use of slag lignin in the field of waterproof sealing. The author also points out the direc- tion for further research on slag lignin.
