We have studied the corrosion resistivities of modified xylene-formaldehyde resin and its glass fiber reinforced plastics. The corrosion resisting meehanism of this modified resin has been discussed. The above-mentioned materials showed excellent corrosion resistivities to 98% H_2SO_4, HAc, boiling HAc, 80% HAc+1% NaCl solution, 30~50% boiling H_2SO_4, and the solution of 3.2% CH_2O+22% Na_2SO_4+32% H_2SO_4 at 70℃.
