This paper concerns a gel breaker system for zirconium-crosslinked polyacrylamide fracturing fluids used in low temperatures.Oxidation and redox systems are compared and the later is selected for this purpose.A lot of factors influencing gel-breaking capacity of redox systems is studied.The redox system(NH_4)_2S_2O_-Na_2SO_ is shown to be a practical breaker for zirconium PAM gel at some 40℃.
