This paper deals with the main characteristics of geology and seis-micgeology of the carbonatite areas in South China. In consideration of this and the requirements for searching oil and gas, the guiding principles and means which should be taken into account for tackling the key problems of seismic exploration in these areas have been put forward. The modification of setup in the field and the pattern of shooting being used at the present time are discussed in a deep going way.
