A new method is introduced to synthesize the internal geneva mechanism which makes use of a hyperbola and a roller as a point of the connecting rod. The path of roller becomes a fifth type symmetrical coupler curve according to conditions given and to approach the path of the straight line of hyperbola given. An optimized method is to synthesize geneva mechanism driven by a four-bar linkage to achieve shoekless index rotation.

A linkage driven internal geneva mechanism is presented in this paper. The characteristics, synthetic variables and equations are analysed. An optimum method of constrained variable dimension is used for variables in order to ensure that the indexing period starts and terminiates with zero acceleration and has no discontinuities in velocity. The LDCAS software is programmed for the synthesis and the application of the linkage driven geneva mechanism.

In order to improve the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of geneva mechanisms, this paper presents a intermittent indexing mechanism.The analysis and study on this mechanism are carried out, and its design parameters are given as a reference of design for technical staff.

为了改善槽轮机构的运动状况和提高其动力性能,本文给出了一种间歇转位结构,即行星齿轮——槽轮机构,并对其进行了分析与研究,最后得出了该机构所必须的设计参数.本文可供有关技术人员设计时参考.
