The flotability of gold has been determined in laboratorial flotation tests with a modified flotation bath. The effects of pH value, the concentration of Na2S and especially, the potential of gold on the flotation recovery have been investigated. The optimal flotation conditions are pH=9. 0, [Na2S] =10-4~10-3 mol/L, (SHE). It has been concluded that gold powder is of sulfur-induced electrochemical control flotatbility.
