In view of a lack of adequate explanation of the mechanism of this phenomenon in the literature, this paper might be a fuller treatment of the problem.

    It has been a major concern of the designer of a reciprocating compressor that the overall high-press are cylinder designed by traditional method is usually liable to fracture. From the point of view of fracture mechanics and taking into consideration the effects of cyliuder size material properties and it straeture mechanism as well as the real load characteristi(?). this paper derives some new reliability criteia for the design of high pressure cylinder. Various metallic material samples taken from real high pressure cylinders (P_d=320atm) are used to make fracture mechanics testing in order to find out the rules governig the orack growth in fracture toughness. The characteristics of the load ratio are analogous to those of the pressure ratio of high pressure cylinders. Based on experimental results we presont the limited values and control level of stress range, crack (impurities) length and the threshold stress intensity amplitude △K_(th). With these experimental data available, the reliable design of a high-pressure cylinder is ensured.

    用传统方法设计的压缩机整体式高压气缸经常发生断裂,已成为压缩机行业重大的技术障碍之一。本文用断裂力学的观点,结合高压气缸的结构因素、材料性质和载荷谱特性,导出设计计算高压气缸的可靠性准则,并用不同材质的320atm高压气缸本体试样进行裂纹发展规律的实验研究,实验中采用的载荷比模拟实际气缸的压力比.根据实验数据给出保证可靠性所允许的应力幅度、裂纹(缺陷)尺寸及相应的界限应力强度因子幅度⊿K_(th)的控制指标.
