A study of the relationship between expression level of TRF1 protein and telomerase activity in human acute leukemia
      
Objective: To study the expression level of TRF1 (telomeric repeat binding factor 1) protein in human acute leukemia and relationship between expression level of TRF1 protein and telomerase.
      
Results: Bone marrow tissues of 20 acute leukemia patients were studied, 11 healthy donors' bone marrows were taken as a control.
      
The expression level of TRF1 protein was significantly higher (P>amp;lt;0.01) in normal bone marrow ((2.217±0.462) μg/μl) than that of acute leukemia patients ((0.754±0.343) μg/μl).
      
It was confirmed that the activity of telomerase in normal bone marrow was lower than that of acute leukemia patients ((0.125±0.078) μg/μl vs (0.765±0.284) μg/μl, P>amp;lt;0.01).

The patient's WBC count was less than 1000/mm~3 after chemotherapy, and his bone marrow was hypercelluler and heavily infiltrated or replaced by leukemic cells. Method: MTX 10—30 mg was given by IMI once, every 3—5 days during the course...

The patient's WBC count was less than 1000/mm~3 after chemotherapy, and his bone marrow was hypercelluler and heavily infiltrated or replaced by leukemic cells. Method: MTX 10—30 mg was given by IMI once, every 3—5 days during the course of total chemotherapy with other drugs and intermission period. Effect: Duration of remission induction is shortend and remission rate increases. This article indicates that there are changes in bone marrow construction of rabbits and patients of acute leukemia observed by SEM and histopathological examination. The tissue at the site of IMI revealed congestion, necrosis, predominant decrease of leukemic cells, destruction of structure of the bone marrow and sinus at the site of IMI, but the rest part of the bone marrow only revealed decrease of leukemic cells. Result: It shows that drugs of IMI return through blood sinus to the circulation and start antileukemic effect.

本文报告广东地区0—54岁白血病病人Hp~1频率显著高于正常人,其相对危险率为1.9,提示这一地区Hp~1基因与白血病发生有关。急粒和急淋组Hp~1频率显著高于正常人,慢粒组则与正常人无显著差异。化疗后的急拉和急淋组Hp2-2型和Hp2-1型Hp平均含量较化疗前显著降低,Hp1-1型则降低不显著;慢粒组三类Hp平均含量化疗前后无明显变化。提示Hp~1基因可能与急性白血病发生有关。具有Hp纯合子或杂合子正常母亲的白血病子女中,纯合子与杂合子的比例符合预期比例,提示在白血病病人家庭中Hp的遗传方式无异常。还观察到,肝癌中Hp~1频率亦显著增高,提示Hp~1基因除与白血病有关外,还可能与其他某些肿瘤的发生有关。

By means of inicrospectropliotometry, the nuclear DNA content and nuclear area of leukemic cells were observed in 5 patients with acute leukemia and 2 patients with acute mosiocytic leukemia by treatment of HOAP. The results indicated that the nuclear DNA content of acute leukemic cells was significantly higher than the normal monocytcs. Their nuclear DNA contents were increased progressively with the nuclear area. It was positive correlation between them. But it was power function negative...

利用显微分光光度计法观察5例急性白血病细胞核DNA含量与核面积变动的关系及经HOAP治疗的2例急性单核细胞白血病的细胞核DNA含量及核面积变动与治疗的关系。 结果指出急性白血病细胞DNA含量较正常单核细胞为高,有明显差异,它们的细胞核DNA总含量随核面积的增加呈递增状态,两者呈正相关。饶有兴趣的是细胞核单位面积的DNA(DNA/u~2,F)与核面积(A)之间呈幂函数负相关。 二侧急单经HOAP治疗一周后,细胞核DNA含量有不同程度的下降,但核面积均有不同的增大。完全缓解的一例,大核细胞数目增多,DNA含量趋向正态分布。
