Advantages and disadvantages of metal-matrix composites reinforced by continual fibers and ceramic particles are discussed in this paper. Mechanical alloying process was employed to prepare the SiC dispersed Ti-6Al-4V composite powder. Variation of particle morphology, particle size and crystal structureduring mechanical alloying are studied by XRD and SEM.

The application feasibility of intermetallic MoSi 2 as high temperature structural materials in terms of the intrinsic characteristics of this compound was briefly analyzed, and the present condition and prospects on several important MoSi 2 matrix composites were overviewed.

根据二硅化钼的本征特性简要分析探讨了它作为高温结构材料的可能性,并从合金化和复合化两个方面,对MoSi2及其复合材料的改性方法及其增韧补强效果作了概述,重点介绍了MoSi2-SiC系和MoSi2-ZrO2系两种复合材料的力学性能,同时展望了MoSi2基复合材料的发展趋势和应用前景。
