The commercial production of viscosity index improver SHL-615 is analyzed in this paper, and it ispointed out that SHL-615 produced by Shanghai Oil Refinery is equivalent to ZHB-1103 and may be used in such lubeoil products of the classes 15W/40 SF/CC, SF/CD etc.
The results of test production and commercial production showed that in the conditions of temperature 620 ℃,space velocity 1.0 h-1,water-oil ratio 2.0,the conversion of ethylbenzene was more than 80%,yield of styrene more than 76%,selectivity of styrene more than 95%.

The chlorination reaction of 2,2′,6,6′-tetrachlorobiphenol-A in 1,2-dichloroethane solvent is studied in detail. The optimum technical conditions are obtained, the yield can reach 91.5%. Reliable basic data for commercial production are obtained.
