    There are two kinds of electromagnetic torque, the moving-coil torque and the reluctance torque, as according to how they are developed. The torque can be determined by the arbitrary displacement method on the principle of conservation of energy. A brief analysis of the torque and the energy process of reluctance motors has been made, with a correct expression for the reluctance torque.
