Upper Bound Analysis was applied to the extrusion/drawing process of rodsor wires by introducing a fluxional function in speed field, with a satisfacto-ry result obtained in comparison to experimental data.An analytic curve/equ-ation of linear die was given for such determination as of force/energy para-meters, deformation behaviors and forming limits,thus providing theoreticallythe important parameters for the choice of technological process of extrusion/drawing and the optimization of die design.
