The concept of parasitic fitness of plant pathogen has been applied in the study of interactions between plant pathogens and host plants.It is one of the advanced concepts derived from long struggle against plant diseases. Using the concept of parasitic fitness is useful to investigate the mechanism of epidemiology of plant diseases and to guide breeding work in breeding program and deployment of disease resistant varieties.The methods of studying the parasitic fitness of plant pathogens are also discussed in this paper.

在植物病原物与寄主植物相互关系的研究中提出了植物病原物寄生适合度(parasiticfitness)的概念,这是迄今人们从长期与植物病害作斗争中得出的较为全面的认识之一。运用病原物寄生适合度的概念,对探讨植物病害的流行机制和指导抗病品种的选育、推广布局等都具有重大的意义。本文还讨论了研究植物病原物寄生适合度的方法。

The isolates of Drhstra maydis collected from different provinces of China were successively passed through twenty-one conidial generations on the seedlings of maize inbred lines or hybrids with different resistance to the disease,followed by five conidial generations on susceptible corn inbred line.The results showed that there were increasing tendency in attributes of sporulation(SP),lesion length(LL),infection efficiency(IE)and decraasing tendency in incubation period(IP),this appeared to be more conspicuous...

The isolates of Drhstra maydis collected from different provinces of China were successively passed through twenty-one conidial generations on the seedlings of maize inbred lines or hybrids with different resistance to the disease,followed by five conidial generations on susceptible corn inbred line.The results showed that there were increasing tendency in attributes of sporulation(SP),lesion length(LL),infection efficiency(IE)and decraasing tendency in incubation period(IP),this appeared to be more conspicuous with more generations of passage through the host.The results also showed that the variation of different parasitic fitness attributes differed in de- gree.The number of combinations with significant increase in SP,LL,IE and decrease in IP at the 21st generation as compared with the total combi- nations of original generation were 72.2%,33.3%,47.2% and 8.3%,res- pectively.This could be attributed to the genetic difference of each attribute among isolates of the pathogen,The change of the attributes was irreversi- ble,since most combinations exhibited the same characteristics as in the 21st generation after they had been passed 5 generations further through inbred line Lo-31.The enhancement of the parasitic fitness might cause the population shift in pathogen which might eventually affect the stability and durability of host resistance.Cluster analysis of the data also indicated that using only one of the attributes to evaluate the disease resistance of host is not adequate.And the highly significant correlation between SP and LL was found.

将不同来源的玉米小斑病菌先在不同抗性玉米自交系后在感病的自交系幼苗上分别连续继代培养21代和5代的结果,所有菌株的寄生适合度属性如产孢量(SP)、病斑长度(LL)和侵染效率(IE)均有提高,潜育期(IP)的时间则缩短,这种变化在同一自交系上随继代代数的增长而愈甚。此外,不同属性的变化程度也不同,到21代时,SP、LL、IE 提高和 IP 时间缩短的组合率分别是72.2%、33.3%、47.2%和8.3%,这反映了控制属性的遗传基础存在差异。多数组合在感病自交系上培养5代后仍能保持前21代时所获得的变化特点,这说明属性的变化是不可逆的遗传变异,从而导致病原菌种内群体的组成发生变化,并进而影响抗病性的稳定和持久。系统聚类法的分析说明,单独用某一属性来标志寄主的抗病程度有片面性。属性间只有 SP 和 LL 的相关程度达到了极显著水平。
