    This paper gives the results of the experiments of NPK on the tea bushes. These experi-ments were conducted by the Tea Research Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science of Fukien Province situated at the main tea district-Suey-kow, Fu-An. The tested variety is Chen-Woo Ta-Pei, aged three to six years, replicated in pots with typical red soil for four successive years. The following are the preliminary results of the effects on the growth, yeild and the quality of the made tea:

    Based on the theory of fuzzy mathematics and in line with the actual problems in agricultural research, the article attempts to give a quantitative description of some fuzzy phenomena. The quantitative variation in the effects of different methods of fertilization is analysed by forming a membership function of fuzzy subsets. Through fuzzy clustering analysis, we classified numerically soil samples with a number of characteristic quantities. Using dynamic fuzzy clustering method, we also classified numerically the cold resistance of different varieties of rice. The major variety is selected through comprehensive assessment of the adaptability of different varieties of rice. The author believes that fuzzy mathematics will find wide use in agricultural science.

    本文以模糊数学理论为基础,结合农业科学研究中的实际问题,试图使某些模糊性事物得到数量化描述。通过建立模糊子集的隶属函数,来分析不同施肥方式的效应之间的数量差异。通过计算作物品种生育特征的正态贴近度,来鉴定不同品种间的相似关系。应用模糊聚类分析,对包含多种特征量的土壤样品进行数值分类。还应用动态模糊聚类方法,对水稻不同品种的抗寒性进行数值分类。通过对不同水稻品种的适应性,进行综合评判,来选定主栽品种。笔者认为模糊数学在农业科学中得到广泛的应用是可能的。
