Cutting force model for a small-diameter helical milling cutter
      
In the milling process, the major flank wear land area (two-dimensional measurement for the wear) of a small-diameter milling cutter, as wear standard, can reflect actual changes of the wear land of the cutter.
      
By analyzing the wearing characteristics of the cutter, a cutting force model based on the major flank wear land area is established.
      
The cutting force model for the helical milling cutter is validated by experiments.
      
Thus, the cutting force model established in the research can provide a theoretical foundation for monitoring the condition of a milling process that uses a small-diameter helical milling cutter.

The former studies on rice stripper harvester have encountered some obstacles as follows: big scattering loss of grain; being limited to harvest only the standing, tall, untangled crop with uniform height of panicles over the ground; unacceptable lower ground speed of machine etc.In present design the threshing belt riveted with wire loops is used permitting to fully descend the entrance, benefiting the dwarf plants harvesting.By means of belt feeder matched with the figural reel the plants can be gently deflected and fed into the thresher in a stretching state with the panicles forward, thus allowing the threshing process significantly prolonged. Consequently, hardly threshed, round-grained nonglutinous rice can be perfectly threshed and the ground speed is also increased to 70% or more (or to 0.98-1.20m/sec)The machine's feed rate permeter of swath is higher than that of conventional grain combine of rice modification and semi-feeding rice combine in before frosting harvesting. In the meanwhile the power consumption of belt thresher, measured in field condition is more less than that of both conventional and semi-feeding threshing apparatuses.The tilted, threshed straw is cut by the floating cutter bar surmounted by reciprocating rakes with toothed edges, which at the same time collects the straw to the center, forming a windrow underneath the chassis. But these devices worked unsati-sfactorily in higher ground speed of machine, thus requiring the further improvement.The performance of feeding and threshing apparatuses are theoretically analy-sed and its conclusions have been confirmed by field trials. But the feeding devices can not cope with the severely lodged crops and the endurance of these organs remains yet to be examined.

Thereby it is concluded that in cutting apparatus, it is inadvisable to engender the sliding-moving cutting, but it is beneficial and feasible to engender the sliding cutting when straw isn't moving. If only the angle of sliding cutting is more than O°, the cutting apparatus realizes sliding cutting.When the angle of sliding cutting is increased in a certain range, the consumption of power can be decreased. Generally, the angle of sliding cutting which is chosen from the range of 10-55° is relatively suitable.

本文介绍了目前关于支承刀刃切割农作物茎杆的滑切理论;利用前人的试验资料及作者实测数据,论证了滑切与滑移切的区别、滑切作用的本质、对功耗的影响。从而得出结论:在切割器中实现滑移切是不可取的,实现无滑移的滑切是有益的、可行的。当滑切角大于0°时即具有滑切作用,在一定的范围内增大滑切角可降低功耗,一般滑切角在20~55°的范围内选取比较合适。
