Based on the determination of crack propagation rate of parent metals, welds, fusion boundary, and heat affected zone of 16Mn steels, formulae for threshold values and propagation rate are established for analysing the fatigue behaviour of steel structures. Fatigue of steel structures is studied in this paper in the light of fatigue crack propagation law and load randomness. Based on the determination of crack propagation rate of parent metals, welds, fusion boundary, and heat affected zone of 16Mn steels, formulae for threshold values and propagation rate are established for analysing the fatigue behaviour of steel structures. Probability model of fatigue loads is established on statistic analysis, and a corresponding pseudorandom loading sequence is generated by Monte-Carlo method. Based on the random loading test, physical model and computing formulae for crack propagation are established considering the effect of interaction between high and low stresses, and a program is presented for use in computing random fatigue life.To simplify the computation of welding structures, cut-off stress is herein obtained from crack propagation threshold value,and formulae of equivalent constant stress range of random loads are derived from fracture mechanics. Thus, fatigue life is first computed under the constant amplitude of stresses, and the effect of nonlinear cumulative damage is then taken into account, The good agreement of the computed value with the test results, shows the significance of this method in design practice.

本文从疲劳裂缝扩展规律和荷载的随机性两个方面来研究钢结构疲劳问题。依据16Mn钢母材、焊缝、熔合线和热影响区等部位裂缝扩展速率的测定结果,建立了门槛值和扩展速率公式,并用它来分析钢结构的疲劳性能。 经统计分析建立疲劳荷载的概率模型,并用统计模拟法(Monte-Carlo法)产生相应伪随机荷载序列。在随机加载试验的基础上,建立考虑高、低应力相互作用的裂缝扩展物理模型和计算公式,提出了计算随机疲劳寿命的程序。 为简化计算,对焊接结构,本文从裂缝扩展门槛值得出截止应力,并从断裂分析导出了随机荷载的等效常应力幅公式。这样便可先按常幅条件计算疲劳寿命,然后再考虑非线性累积损伤的影响,计算值与试验结果相吻合,故可供工程设计应用。
