Having taken a correctattitude and given full play to the important role of key factories, theShenyang Automobile Industrial Company adopted various forms ofassociation. The first frorm consists of close co-operation in whichfactories owned by the whole people are unified in six operations; thesocond form consists of semi-close co-operation in which factories of collective ownership are unified in obtaining supplies, production andmarketing; the third form consists of loose co-operation in which enter-prises, though not joining the company, have a long-term and stableco-operative relation with the company and produce the component partsof its products: the fourth form consists of establishing ordinary coordi-nation relation with those enterprises which coordinate with the companyas a matter of routine or manufacture some of the component parts ofthe company's products according to ordinary procedures. Different waysof management should be adopted for different forms of association. The author points out that under the current economic structure andways of management, the various forms of co-operation adopted by theCompany not only are advantageous to the production but also will keepcopsolidating the Company. Within the co-operation while the principlesof reorganization according to specialities and reaping benefitS for the com-pany as a whole are stressed, a streamlined, highly efficient managerialand service setup has been established and the relations with all quartershave been correctly handled. This is aimed at running the business com-pany well.

Most of them focus,however, on the administrative system over service and the means by which such a sys-tem is enforced. Few authors attempt to look into the ideological origin. The pre-sent article, applying sociological methods to the issue, presents an analysis of thedominant role of the unified social structure dominating the Japanese society, withan assessment of that structure's superiority and defects. Rejecting the common prac-tice of almost indiscriminating praise, he analyses the shortcomings of the Japanese type of administration, basing on his observations of both the static and the dynamic factors.

我国管理学界出现的许多介绍、评述、分析研究日本式管理的论文和著作大都以日本企业的劳务管理制度和方法为中心,而很少挖掘其社会思想根源。本文用社会学的方法分析了在日本社会中占统治地位的社会结合方式——一体化结合方式在日本式管理中的支配作用及其功过,特别是一反过去引进日本管理经验的褒多于贬的常态,从静态和动态两个侧面分析了日本式管理的弊端。
