A new type of centrifugal spark advance device is adopted in model FD663 contactless distributor. In the device the spring rate is a key factor for ensuring precise spark advance. Based on the mechanical analysis to the centrifugal spark advance device ,the spring rate is calculated to meet the spark advance characteristics for the model CA6102 engine, and the result is analysed as well.
