In the summer of 1987, the Chinese Navy successfully conducted an open sea deep depth heliox saturation actual diving operation.training in the East China Sea ever attempted in China by using the SDC-DDC saturation dive system. During this open sea operational diving training a series of studies were also made to verify the medical support profiles for saturation diving. The 8 navy active-service diver were divided into 2 groups, The 1st group was saturated at a depth of 80 m, and duration of exposure 72 h; The 2nd group was saturated at the same depth for 30 h. The depth of excursion diving was 100 m, and altogether 9-bell-run and 18-man-time dives were made. The divers effectively carried out several special underwater operations, After 89 h of decompression from the storage depth, all the divers safely returned to normal pressure and none was seized with bends. In each stage of the dive, a series of biomedical parameters were measured. Dynamic ECG of the divers was for the first time mornitored in the whole process. On the whole, all the divers were in good shape. The open-sea actual diving demonstrated that the medical support profiles for heliox saturation diving were sound and practical And valuable technical data were obtained from the dives. The successful accomplishment of the mission marked the end of day when the saturation diving technique remained in a state of simulated saturation diving for many years. The Navy has taken the lead in the open-sea actual dives, and this will enhance the Navy' s means and ability in submarine rescue and underwater operations. The practical experience accumulated will lay good foundation for the development of our national economy, national defence and operational diving work to deeper depths of the ocean.

1987年,海军在东海公海,使用DDC-SDC饱和潜水设备系统,成功地进行了我国首次海上氦氧饱和-巡回潜水实潜作业。结合任务完成了一系列饱和潜水医学保障的研究。8名海军潜水员分成两批,任DDC中80m深度下,呼吸氦氧混合气,分别连续生活工作72及30h。每天又借SDC下潜到100m海底,出钟进行巡回潜水作业,共9钟次18人次,有效地进行了多种特定劳动作业。最后经89h饱和减压,潜水员全部平安返回常压,未发生任何潜水疾病。在饱和潜水各阶段,分别监测了一系列生物医学指标;在国内首次全程监测了动态心电图,获得了宝贵的资料。现场实潜验证了事先制定的饱和潜水医学保障方案,证明切实可行。这一任务的圆满完成,标志着我国已结束了多年来氦氧饱和潜水技术停留在模拟实验阶段的历史,海军在海上实潜方面居于领先地位。积累的经验将为国家经济和国防建设中向深海进军打下良好基础。
