Stadler (1945) and Nybom (1954) had considered that All new mutation in a spike of Mi generation would be heterozygous.According to this hypothesis,if a mutation is recessive its effects will appear only in M,generation a view that has been generally received up to now.This article reports the experimental results about y-ray induced chimaera of awned mutation in Mt generation of Triticum aestivum L.Dry seeds of ten varieties (or lines) were treated with r-rays of 60Co during 1977-1979.As a result,seven varieties were induced ehimaera of awned mutation.Among these treated varieties (or lines),the "Great Dragon No.1" continued to show this chimaera for three years.Results of genetic research are presented as follows:1.Awired mutation of chimaera is a recessive mutation.When the awned mutant backcrossed with a tipped parent,first-generation hybrids were all tipped and the F2 generation was segregated as the Mendelian ratios.2.The.spikes of awned mutation of the chimaera keep their character and did not segregate in the offspring.3.When we irradiated the seeds of awned mutant with y-rays,the mutation might,change back to the tipped.4.The chromosome morphology and chromosome number of pollen mother cell and somatic cells of mutant did not produce any conspicuous changes to be recognized visually.These results as shown above suggested that awned mutation of chimeara in Mi generation is a recessive gene mutation.The genotypes of mutant possible have changed from B1B1b2b2 into b1b1b2b2 Our experiments show a homozygous recessive mutation might occur in MI generation.The M1 generation is worthy of noting as a mutation generation.

The plant type inheritance of maize is a quantitative inheritance. A large amount of data has been collected in the research, the treatment of which is a repeating and arduous task. The aim of this article is to provide a computer program for genetic research of maize plant type. To facilitate operation on a micro-table computer, the whole program is written in BASIC language. The program is divided into three parts: analysis of variance and Fcheck, analysis of the effect of general and special combining ability and verification of the difference between values of effect of combining ability. In the article a mathematical model for genetic research of maize plant type is presented and an entire BASIC program, for mathematical calculation in printed form is given. Once the original data in the program are changed, the program will provide all the calculation involved in the diallel cross design which was advanced by Ggiffing in 1956. The program including PROG U, PROG R and PROG Z can be processed on a BX-1 computer.

The optimal irradiation dosage was determined for 22 varieties of soybean which have been released and popularized so far. Analyses of mutants,mutant characters and mutation frequency in the generations of M^Mj and M3 of soybean were carried out and a procedure of mutation breeding was described. Discussion of the effect of different radiant agents, the selection of progeny induced by radiation and the breeding method by combining mutation with hybridization and resistant varieties with good quality ones have been conducted.

本文总结了我国大豆诱变育种与遗传研究的成就与进展,列举了迄今已育成并推广的22个大豆品种,诱变适宜的照射量或剂量范围,分析了大豆M_1、M_2、M_3代诱变产生的类型与频率和出现的性状变异,以及辐射诱变遗传研究的结果,综述了大豆辐射诱变育种程序和各种辐射源的诱变效果,并对选择辐照处理材料、诱变与杂交结合、抗病品种与优质品种的诱变选育等问题进行了讨论。
