The bird resources in Qinhuangdao city were surveyed systematically for 2 years. In total, 359 species of birds were discovered including 306 species of migratory birds and 60 species of birds protected in national rank. The migration time of crane was preliminarily worked out. Something new was found in migration route of Larus argentatus.

The higher average density of migrant birds, 43.10 individuals per 10 hm2, was found in winter, then in spring and in autumn, the lower, 5.49 individuals per 10 hm2 in summer. The difference of the migratory birds' densities between winter and summer was very significant. The average densities of the resident birds in one season were always higher than those of the migratory birds in the same and other seasons (F=8.727, P<0.05). The difference of bird species diversity among seasons was not significant according to the analysis of variance.

浙江省北部马尾松人工林春季鸟种丰富度最高(47种),秋季最少(31种),冬、夏季分别为35种和36种。留鸟种类秋季最多(67.7%),春季的迁徒鸟种类最多(57.4%)。冬、春、夏、秋,鸟类平均密度分别为56.87、56.81、47.25及49.35只/10km2。春季留鸟的平均密度最高(43.10只/10hm2),依次是夏、秋、冬季,分别为41.47、39.05和36.76只/10hm2。冬季的迁徙鸟平均密度相对较高(20.11只/10hm2),其次是春季和秋季,夏季最低(5.49只/10hm2)。方差分析及多重比较表明,春季的迁徙鸟种类明显多于其他各季节,秋季的迁徙鸟种类明显少于其他季节。无论那一季节,留鸟的平均密度普遍高于迁徙鸟(F=8.727,P<0.05)。各季节之间鸟类多样性指数的差异不显著。
