To all the regenerative refrigerators,to control the phase angle between the pressure and the volumetric velocity is pivotal to attaining satisfactory refrigeration effect.In a Stirling refrigerator,this phase angle is provided by the relative movement of the piston and the displacer.While in a pulse tube refrigerator,it is provided by the appropriate thermoacoustic network impedance attained by the reasonable topology configuration of all parts of this refrigerator,such as regenerator,heat exchanger,pulse tube,orifice,reservoir and the connecting tube in the geometrical space.The mechanical simplification along with the consequent long life and high reliability makes the pulse tube refrigerators attractive.On the other hand,this mechanical simplification also brings lower efficiency(comparing with the stirling,the pulse tube has more heat and power losses)and inconvenience of phase angle adjustment.So,improving efficiency(decreasing the heat and power losses)and seeking more effective method to adjust the phase angle become an important task.This paper introduces a kind of pulse tube regenerator,which can recover part of the lost acoustic power,and then analyzes it in two aspects:acoustic power recovery and phase angle adjustment.
