Pure twisting does not induce stresses in flangcs(or chord member) of mainginders, while bending-twisting does. To assure a bridge superstructure functioning in space as a whole, it is necessary to provide it with both top and bottom leateral system and to proportion the cross frames adquately. The relative magnitude of M_k and M_(u.k)is an index showing to what degree the space action of a bridge superstrecture as a whole has been developed. This ratio will depend upon the relative rigidity of crossframes(against shearing deformation)and maingirdes(against bending). Using simple method of theory of structure, the author derives practical formulas for computing two- or multi-girder bridges equipped with single or several crossframes.

拉盘式桥墩近年来在我国各铁路线上采用很多,但是这种桥墩的应力分布和合理形状问题,还没有进行过足够的研究。本文提供了一些我们所做的试验研究资料。我们做过平面的光弹性模型试验,也做了立体的“冻结法光弹性模型试验。另外,又做了1/20比例尺的石膏模型试验,用电阻应变仪测得表面应力分布。三种不同方法的试验结果大体上是一致的。根据试验结果的分析我们提出了一点初步建议,供有关方面参考。关于托盘式桥墩及顶帽的应力分布问题,今后还需要继续研究。

Now in order to meet the requirements of Shanghai Harlour works and Yangtze River Bridges, we work out a new type of prestressed concrete hollow pile of 36~M long, with a cross-section, of 55 cm square (inner diameter 40 cm.) By using temporary prestressing fittings on pick points with automatic adjustment for prestress, the pile is suitable for two points pick, which gives great facilities to handling and transpotation. Besides, 18% of steel saving can still be made. This paper only presents the principle and calculations. The testing results will be given later.

年来预应力混凝土长桩在各国已广泛采用,我国在去年大躍进中亦已试行生产应用,长达27公尺,最近我校预应力混凝土桩科研小组在响应党的的科研结合生产的号召下,为上海码头工程及长江大桥工程进行36公尺的预应力混凝土长桩研究,并提出一种新的型式,既可节省18%的钢筋又可允许用两点吊运,这将给予施工方面极大便和。现在与上海筑港局协作进行试制与试验,兹特将原理部分报导,希望大家提出意见以便修正改进,至其试验报告则将于以后陆续发表。
