'New Applied Mathematics of Economies' is a textbook edited specially for vocational college students. There are some unique innovations in the content and the structural arrangement. Of course, there still exist some weaknesses to be improved in question types and quantities. The development of textbooks should keep the same pace with that of the social economy, so should the content of advanced mathethics.

The forms of definition to compound function are different. They can basically be divided into two types. The essay made a thorough analysis and comparison to the several definitions of the two type with the help of many examples,and concluded a most suitable form of definition which can be used in the teaching of higher vocational college students.
