    In this paper, a new idea of rolling-pair is qresented. The analysis of motion, the construction, and the synthesis of the rolling-pair mechanism have been discussed. A new method of analysis of motion of the rolling-pair mechanism is also presented. The application of this new method of analysis of motion will simplify the analysis of motion of the rolling-pair mechanism.

    In this article, authors have analysed the influence of main parameters of the double-sine mechanism on the transmission ratio and linearity etc. after deriving the transmission equation of this mechanism. Authors also have recommended the range of selection of these parameters and suggested a graphical method for determining the value of these parameters when the measuring range and the theoretical error are given.
