The effects of polyethylene glycol with different molecular weight on the surface properties such as cloud point, surface tension, critical micellar concentration, wettability emulsion, foamability, dispersing power and detergency performance of aqueous solution of polyethoxylated fatty alcohols (AEO-9, AEO-15) which were extracted from commercial polyoxyethylenated ether in removing polyethylene glycol by Weibull method were investigated. The effects of polyethylene glycol with different molecular weight on the surface properties such as cloud point, surface tension, critical micellar concentration, wettability emulsion, foamability, dispersing power and detergency performance of aqueous solution of polyethoxylated fatty alcohols (AEO-9, AEO-15) which were extracted from commercial polyoxyethylenated ether in removing polyethylene glycol by Weibull method were investigated. Experimental results show that there were no significant effects of the content of polyethylene glycol as usual range (tO100% of AE) to the cloud point, surface tension, wettability, emulsion, foamability of 9 and 15 etho-fatty alcohol, but the dispersing power and detergency of the mixed solution are more or less increased if the amount of polyethylene glycol added is within 10% of the surfactant. The effects of the molecular weight of poly ethyleneglycol between 600~2000 on the surface properties of the mixed solution may be negligible.
