Based on analysis of micropaleontology on the cuttings and core samples from Jianshi Well 1 in Jianshishan area of middle Qaidam basin,a few ostracoda fossils dominated by Eucypris obtus and some others like Eucypris stenoformi,Cyprideis and Cyprinotus(Heterocypris) have been found in the Upper and Lower Youshashan formations.
The natural gas resource is very rich in the world. The natural gas ultimate recoverable reserves is about to 327. 4 × 10~(12)m~3, and unconventional gas resources is about to 1390×10~(12) ～4430×10~(12)m~3. The human society will become to "the time of natural gas" in the middle of 21 century.
On the basis of regional geologic background, the analyses on core, grain size, thin section, shape of the log curves show that the western part of the central structural zone of Dongying sag mainly belongs to turbidity facies in the early and middle period of the middle section in the third member of Shahejie Formation.
Base on the theory of base level cycle, three super long term, eight long term, nineteen middle term and sixty two short term cycle sequences can be distinguished from Benxi Formation(C 2b), Taiyuan Formation(P 1t), Shanxi Formation(P 1s) and Xiashihezi Formation(P 1xs) of the Upper Paleozoic in Ordos Basin.

But several characteristics exhibited high differentiation level, such as width of the tooth of leaf base (25.99%) and the middle apical bud (25.23%).
