The Ir-complex of 9-amino (9-deoxy) epicinchonine was also applied in the hydrogenation of seven aromatic ketone substrates, resulting in a high catalytic activity (80%～90%) and high enantioselectivity (95%～97% ee, except 72% ee for 4-chloroacetophenone ). This is the first case using Cinchona alkaloids skeleton in the iridium catalyzed asymmetric reactions.
1. Mannich reaction in acidic ionic liquid [bmim]BF4 acting as the catalyst and solventMannich reaction for formaldehyde, aromatic ketone and aliphatic amine hydrochloride was investigated in [bmim]BF4. Reactions can performance smoothly without any proton acids or Lewis acids.
Under the optimized condition, ethylbenzene, n-propylbenzene, and n-butylbenzene were oxidized to the corresponding aromatic ketone with yields up to 90%, 94%, and 93%, respectively, toluene and p-substituted toluene were oridized to benzoic acid and the corresponding p-substituted benzoic acid with yields of 32%～47%.
Deprotonation of aromatic ketone by sodium amide in liquidammonia and consequent alkylation with α-bromoaromatic ketone produce thekey intermediates for target compounds——1,4-diaryl-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-butane-diones.

Compositions of combination systems of iron dialkyl dithiocarbamate(FeDRC),aromatic ketone and antioxidant, synergism of various components and their mechanism of polyethylene photodegradation are studied. Results show that performances of polyethylene mulching film containing with this combination systems and their photodegradation controllability are good,and it is fully satisfactory for producing photodegradation-controlled polyethylene mulching bilm.
