Degenerative changes occurring in periodontal tissues were demonstrated in six serious systemic diseases causing death namely, dysentery, systemic lupus erythematosis, tuberculosis, nephritis, hepatitis and arteriosclerosis. The degenerative manifestations occurring in periodontal tissues are varied. Hydropic, mucoid, hyalinization, focal necrosis and dystrophic calcifications are found in periodental membrane. Disturbances of bone formation, mostly amorphous and/or immature bone could be seen in alveolar bone. Irregularities of deposition with presenee of granular calcifications of cementum could also be seen. These changes are part of systemic alterations. The periodontal degenerations alone are unable to induce periodontal disease clinically, but are considered as the underlying background of the occurrance and development of periodontal disease.

本文报告因严重系统性疾病死亡者其牙周组织中发生的变性变化,列举了六种疾病:痢疾、播散性红斑狼疮、结核、肾炎、肝炎及动脉硬化。牙周组织中表现的变性变化是多种多样的。常看到的有牙周膜的水样变性、粘液样变、玻璃样变、局灶性坏死和营养不良性钙化。牙槽骨的形成障碍,出现无定型骨或未成熟骨。牙骨质常见沉积不规则并有颗粒样钙化。以上这些变化都是全身性变化的一部分。单独的牙周变性并不致于引起临床上的牙周病,但可以认为它们是牙周病发生和发展的内因基础。

Bacterial invasion provokes immunereaction in host and the gingivitis ensues. With the inflammation existing con-tinually, the enzyme of lysosome dissociates from the immune cells. As a result,this enzyme would cause the damage of supporting tissues of teeth and thereforecreate favourable condition for the formation of periodontitis. In accordance, withthe result in this experiment, we think that the treatment of periodontal diseasewith lysozyme would achieve good effects.

本文通过对牙龈炎、牙周炎患者混合唾液中溶菌酶、Ig含量的测定,认为此时唾液中溶菌酶、Ig出现的水平,主要是细菌的作用。当细菌侵入时,宿主产生免疫反应,随之出现牙龈炎。随着炎症的继续存在,使发生免疫反应的细胞游离出来自溶酶体的酶,由于这种酶的作用,损害了牙齿的周围组织,使牙周炎的发生有了条件。因而用溶酶菌治疗牙周组织病将会取得较好效果。

Correlations between PH value of cervical fluid and number of bacterial growth were determind. The following assessments were recorded,motile rods and Gram negative rods increased with increase in severity of the periodontal disease,and cocci increased with the resolution of the imflammation.Curettage would cause a decrease of Gram negative rods and an increase of cocci, Chinese herb medicine caused a diminution of spirochetes and motile rods.Numbers of bacteria increased as the PH value of gingival fluid decreased.

用显微镜检查牙周病人的龈沟或袋内各种细菌数目,观察发病牙与非发病牙的区别。用龈下刮治、中药鸦蛋子治疗,观察其对细菌的作用、及细菌数与龈沟内或袋内pH 值的关系。结果指出:牙周病发作的牙,活动杆菌、革兰氏阴性杆菌增加,球菌减少;渡病不发作的牙以球菌为主。龈下刮治可使革兰氏阴性杆菌减少,球菌增加。中药鸦蛋子可使袋内螺旋体减少。龈沟内的 pH 值与细菌数成反比。
