Degenerative changes occurring in periodontal tissues were demonstrated in six serious systemic diseases causing death namely, dysentery, systemic lupus erythematosis, tuberculosis, nephritis, hepatitis and arteriosclerosis. The degenerative manifestations occurring in periodontal tissues are varied. Hydropic, mucoid, hyalinization, focal necrosis and dystrophic calcifications are found in periodental membrane. Disturbances of bone formation, mostly amorphous and/or immature bone could be seen in alveolar bone. Irregularities of deposition with presenee of granular calcifications of cementum could also be seen. These changes are part of systemic alterations. The periodontal degenerations alone are unable to induce periodontal disease clinically, but are considered as the underlying background of the occurrance and development of periodontal disease.

27 SD rats were used in the study,which were divided into three groups,9 rats ineach group.In model group,the acute free radicals damage was caused by inhalation ofO_3.The second group was treated by the same method,but Guchiwan(固齿丸)wasgiven 4gm/kg/day to each rat simultaneously.The third group was used as control.Atthe end of experiment,the SOD activity in RBC,the LPO content in liver,the phago-cytotic function of macrophage in abdominal cavity were measured seperately in threegroups.The periodontal tissues were examined by pathologic methods.The results were as follows.The RBC SOD activity in O_3 model group was lowercompared with the control(P<0.01);The SOD activity in the model+Guchiwan groupwas higher than the model group(P<0.01),but lower than the control P(<0.01);Theliver LPO content in the model group was higher than the control(P<0.01);The LPOcontent in the model+Guchiwan group was lower than the model group(P<0.01),approached to the controle(P>0.05).As the phagocytosis of macrophage from abdominalcavity,the ratio and the index of phagocytosis in the model group were lower than thecontrol(P<0.01);those of the model+Guchiwan group were quite similar with thecontrol(P<0.05).As the pathologic changes of the periodontal tissues,there were se-rious inflammation changes in the model group;but were light in the model+Guchiwangroup.The results suggested that Guchiwan can raise the SOD activity in RBC of aging rats;so that the lipid superoxidation was inhibited;the specific and non-specific im-mune functions were protected;resistance against microorganisms was enhanced in theperiodontal tissues.

本文用大白鼠臭氧快速衰老动物模型对固齿丸抗自由基损伤作用进行了实验研究,结果表明:固齿丸能提高衰老大白鼠红细胞超氧化物歧化酶活性水平,从而抑制了机体内组织的脂质过氧化,保护了机体特异性和非特异性免疫功能,增强了牙周组织对细菌的抵抗力。

In this paper, the periodontal conditions of 206 abutment teeth were investigated in 55 patients using overlay denture abutment for 5 years. According to the pre-reparative natural conditions of the abutments,they were classified into caries group, periodontitis group and the others group. In this paper, the periodontal conditions of 206 abutment teeth were investigated in 55 patients using overlay denture abutment for 5 years. According to the pre-reparative natural conditions of the abutments,they were classified into caries group, periodontitis group and the others group. The inspection of the plague index, the gingival index, the tooth mobility, the degree of gingival atrophy and the salcular depth were recorded for each abutment. The result of statistical treatment showed that the five indexes of evaluating change of periodontal tissue possessed certain common characteristics and its own specific characteristics in the 3 sets of abutment of different natural condition. They are fitted with their clinical manifistations. It is shown that after the repair of overlay denture, the periodontal damages of abutments are not general and inexorable and have definite segnificance with the natural conditions of abutments before repair. The incidences of dental plaque and gingivitis are higher. Further investigation should be made to evaluate the long-term effects of the periodontal tissues of abutments.

对55例戴用五年后的覆盖义齿206只基牙,每只基牙做了菌斑指数、可龈指数、牙齿松动度、牙龈萎缩程度及龋沟深度的检查比较;牙周状况的调查。并分组对结果提示三组牙周组织变化的指标具有一定的共性和各自的特性,符合临床表现。表明覆盖义齿修复后基牙的牙周损害不是普遍的和必然的,与修复前的基牙自然条件有一定的关系。菌斑及牙齦炎症的发病率较高,有待研究其对基牙牙周组织的长期影响。
