Two methods are discussed which can be used to decrease or eliminate focussing error in the process of measuriment in this paper. One is employed "Micrometrie collimating system", that is, a collimating system is used to sight, and an afo(?)ussing system is used as reflector. Another is applyed "Equal precision measuring system". An afucussing system is also used here, so that the magnifying power and aperture angle (and sighting precision, image illuminance) of distant measuring point are...

Two methods are discussed which can be used to decrease or eliminate focussing error in the process of measuriment in this paper. Another is applyed "Equal precision measuring system". An afucussing system is also used here, so that the magnifying power and aperture angle (and sighting precision, image illuminance) of distant measuring point are equal to that of near measuring point. "The former is made, the designing accuracy is 2μ/m. The latter has been manufactured. Through determination and in comparison with Chinese and foreigh similar instruments, it is proved that its accuracy is 1.5μ/m. These results are five to ten times as high as accuracy of internal focussing system.
