To assure a bridge superstructure functioning in space as a whole, it is necessary to provide it with both top and bottom leateral system and to proportion the cross frames adquately. The relative magnitude of M_k and M_(u.k)is an index showing to what degree the space action of a bridge superstrecture as a whole has been developed. This ratio will depend upon the relative rigidity of crossframes(against shearing deformation)and maingirdes(against bending). Using simple method of theory of structure, the author derives practical formulas for computing two- or multi-girder bridges equipped with single or several crossframes.

In the present, under pressure of practical requirements, the technie of prestressed concrete has been extensively investigated theoretically and experimentally. All those investigations are many useful to ours for further investigation of prestressed concrete, this paper is depending upon the reports of second international congress of prestressed concrete and to introduce some problems on prestressed concrete about grouting, stress-corrosion and moment redistribution.
