Embryogenesis:There are threetypes of the origin of embryoid initialcells in E.angustifolia L.:They arisedfrom (1) individual parenchymatouscells adjacent to epidermis of callus;(2)a transverse division of epidermal cell;(3) the simultaneous division of both theepidermal cell and the parenchymatouscell and the doughter cells joinly formedembryoid.The development processof the embryoid was almost similar tothat of the zygotic embryo with the pro-embryos of 2—4 cells,ball and theembryoids of heart,torpedo or withcotyledons.The typical basal and ter-minal cells,however,did not appearwhen the embryonic cell divided for thefirst time.And hence no typical sus-pensor structure could be observedduring the early development.
