The purpose of this paper is to establish a mathematical model of an experimental facility for simulating OWC (oscillating water column) wave energy conversion in a static pond. The system was successfully used for designing a BD series of wave-activated generators for navigation lighted buoys. Performances and dynamic responses of the system both with an orifice and with a symmetrical aerofoil turbine are caculated and analysised. The digital results tally well with the experimental results. Some questions...

In order to improve the performance of a wave energy conversion buoy and utilize this type of buoys in short-wave-period and low-wave-hight areas,an experimental study has been made. The chamber pressure, the displacement of internal free surface and the motion of buovs have been investigated.By comparring the output of buoys, some results have been obtained for improving designs.

An onshore prototype oscillating water column (OWC) wave power station has been constructed at Dawanshan Island, South China Sea, by Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC). Connecting with a trumpet front harbor, the wave power station is multi oscillation type. Three short terms of sea tests including the operation tests of a 3kW turbogenerator were carried out in 1989,1990 and 1991. The wave power station shows good performance of generating at site. Total capture width ratio of the wave power station is about 10~40%. In this paper, a brief outline of the wave pwoer station is given and operating results of the station at real sea conditions are described. Basing on the basic concrete structure of the 3kW power station, GIEC built a 20kW wave power station at the site, and started to generate electricity in February 1996.

中国科学院广州能源研究所在位于南海的珠海市大万山岛建成一座岸式振荡水柱型示范波力电站。波力电站具有喇叭口前港,属多振荡型。广州能源研究所于1989年、1990年及1991年分别对其做了三次短期海上实测,其中包括对Wels透平发电机组的海上运行试验,证明该电站具有良好的实海况发电性能。电站的总能量俘获宽度比约为10~40%。本文对电站作了概述,并给出了电站实海况运行的结果。在该电站原有结构基础上,广州能源研究所已将其改建成一座20kW的波力电站,并于1996年2月试发电成功。
