    In this paper, the regulating characteristic of the static VAR compensator (SVC) and its effects on reducing the system voltage fluctuation and improving the system stability have been investigated. A simple and concise mathematical model for a two-machine power system and the corresponding algorithm are given. Conclusions are given as to special problems such as the location, rating and the regulating characteristic of SVC.

A schedule of optimal var compensation has been put forward for an real 220kv systems (135-node, 3 ,800 Ml) after thc programming was run for eight normal operating modes and four contingent ones. It is available for real-time control of system voltage and reactive power.

    十多年来,在线性算法范畴里,无功优化计算问题的求解,国内外广泛采用的是著名的灵敏度算法。本文从优化数学分祈入手,指出了灵敏度算法实质上是一种迂回的算法,增添了问题求解计算的复杂性。文章根据无功控制的特点,在P—Q解耦的基础上,给出了一种简化线性直接法数学模型。对6节点和14节点算例作了计算,并对我国西南某220kv135节点大型规划系统的八种正常运行方式和四种事故运行方式作了无功最优补偿规划方案的计算。由于所提模型占用时间和空间少,能满足在线实时应用的要求。
