The control of toxic exhaust emissions from diesel engines is a very important task. This paper comprehensively presents the results of the experimental research in reducing exhaust pollutants from series X105 diesel engines, Under emission control condltions the exhaust emissions with BS NOx = 4.5~6.0g/ps·h, BS CO = 5.0~7.0g/ps·h, BS HC= 0.5g/ps·h can be attained for NA and TC engines, These are all less than the limited values set for domestic diesel engines used in underground mining. When the output is remaind, the increase of BSFC is less than 7% at rated power and maximum torque while the smoke density is still desirable. the exhaust emission characteristics from series X105 diesel engines are given. The adaptability of the compound combustion system with combination of strong swirland slow rate of fuel injection to low emissions is discussed.

The combustion characteristics of water-in-oil emulsion droplet and the effects of environment condition and contents of water in the emulsion on the micro-explosion are investigated by analyzing the heat and mass transport processes in the gas phase, the heating processes of droplet and the gasification of oil at the gas-liquid interface. The combustion characteristics of water-in-oil emulsion droplet and the effects of environment condition and contents of water in the emulsion on the micro-explosion are investigated by analyzing the heat and mass transport processes in the gas phase, the heating processes of droplet and the gasification of oil at the gas-liquid interface. The optimum conditions of micro-explosion are determined. Results show that the burning rates are increased due to micro-explosion of droplet, thus reducing total time of droplet burning. The adiabatic flame tempereture and the tempereture at the droplet surface are lowered because of the presence of water in the droplets. The liquid phase cracking reactions and the formations of earboneeous particules are suppressed. Both NOx and SOx emissions are reduced. It is further indicated that the rises in ambient tempereture and pressure and full-oxygen burning are of benefit to micro-explosion of the droplet. The certain difference of boiling point between oil and water is the necessary condition of micro-explosion. The suitable content of water in the emulsions is 10% wt to 30% wt.

(ii) the proposed idea of using heavy bed material is of effectiveness in eliminating the deposition of big agglomerating lumps ill the bed. (iii). under proper operating condition the coal slurry of various water contents can be burnt in the fluidized bed with high combustion efficiency and good stability even though water contents is as high as 75%. (iv) NOx emission of the fluidized bed burning coal water slurry is lower than that burning dry coal, (v) Sulphur capture effectiveness of mixing CaO directly into coal water slurry is much better than that of using conventional desulfuration method in the fluidized bed. Hence burning coal water slurry in the fluidized bed is a hopeful technology.

本文介绍了对于水煤浆在沸腾床内燃烧过程的初步实验研究结果。实验表明水煤浆在沸腾床内的凝聚、结团特性,使得燃烧过程中的飞灰可燃物损失可以被控制得很低,因而其燃烧效率可达很高的水平,高于同煤种的干煤粒。实验还表明采用所提出的异重度床料沸腾燃烧的方案可以成功地消除凝聚、结团造成的大颗粒沉积现象,实现稳定地运行。燃用水煤浆的沸腾床与普通燃煤沸腾床相比还有NO_x排放量低和易于脱硫等优点,因此是一项有发展前途的新技术。
