The online school based on Internet will become the main channel of mass education in the society. Thus online courseware is naturally becoming its composing core. Courseware of all kinds needs quantities of investigations, including manpower, time, equipment and capital. So the life span, efficiency, maintaining and management of the well-established courseware turn out to be priority in our consideration from an economical point of view. Yet, the technique adopted at present centers on one subject. As soon as the design is completed, the courseware is capsuled in a solid system document. No matter whether it is supported by a single machine or Internet, the courseware is, in essence, hyper-linked. Once the contents or methods need upgrading, the whole courseware would be cast aside. A huge investment is still needed, even if we try only to reprogram the system to update the content and alter the design of the courseware. Apart from this, even if there is something in common from courseware to courseware in the contents, or they are completely the same, it is impossible to share the information, to avoid repetition of the same design work at the same information on a large scale. This malpractice of courseware technique turns out to be a serious problem. To be rid of this, constructing a basic framework for design and development of courseware in the future has become the first task that we should undertake. Based on the considerations of being economical, practical, secure, efficient, easy to maintain, update and share with others, the author put forward the principle of separated design as the basic supporting function of the future courseware. Its presentation resources should be digitized. A series of concepts and frame models such as relative database management should be adopted for the designers to refer to while developing courseware.

本文对课件的作用以及当前课件技术现状和弊端进行扼要分析的基础上 ,提出了一个未来课件的基本架构 ,包括可能形成的主要技术问题 ,以利于对探索新的课件设计与开发技术展开讨论
