    在市场经济迅速发展的今天,大学语文教育面临着新的挑战。本文通过对大学语文课从初设经取消到再设的发展历史的回顾,着重说明大学语文教育在高等教育中主要承担着培养高层次语文能力(包括听说读写各个方面)和传播中国传统文化的职能与作用,并以此为基础分析了当前大学语文教学改革中普遍存在着的忽视文化传播作用和在语文能力培养方面以偏概全的错误倾向,进一步提出了根据语文教学的基本规律,结合高等教育的特点,从培养目标出发,运用教学设计的原则和方法,开设不同系列的大学语文课程的改革新思路。
