A microcrystalline wax emulsion was developed by using anionic surfactant A, nononic surfactant B and assistant surfactant C. The compositions determined by orthogonal test are 5%(w) microcrystalline wax, 0.5%(w) anionic surfactant A, 1%(w) nononic surfactant B and 1%(w) assistant surfactant C. Meanwhile, the optimum emulsifying conditions were emulsifying temperature over 80 ℃, emulsifying time over 15 min and stirring speed between 1 500 and 2 000 r/min.
