Based on the analyses of RS232 and USB’s actuality and develop direction,a method of upgrade RS232 device to USB device is expatiated. A simple and convenient method to design USB device is introduced.
By registering the HDLC device to the uClinux kernel as an Ethernet device and carrying out protocol conversion between Ethernet and HDLC in the device driver,high efficient data forwarding between Ethernet and HDLC interface is achieved.

An experimental mockup of holographic read-write memory and the analyses of its capaeity and speed are briefly described in this paper. The analysis shows that the capacity up to 109 to 1010 bits and an access time much shorter than that of the disc can be realized, if some key materials and devices can be obtained. The holographic memory, besides the disc memory, is a promising approach to mass storage.

013 computer, a high-speed general-purpose integrated circuit computer is presented in this paper. The components and devices employed in this computer are all made in China. Some of new techniques used in the machine are described. The features of the machine architecture and software system are discussed. Finally, some drawbacks of this computer are also pointed out.
