Cooling strategies and transport theories for brain hypothermia resuscitation
      
Under such adverse situations, the potential for cerebral protection through hypothermia has been intensively investigated in clinics by lowering brain temperature to restrain the cerebral oxygen demands.
      
It is now clear that hypothermia would serve as the principal way for neurologic protection in a wide variety of emergency medicines, especially in cerebral damage, anoxia, circulatory arrest, respiratory occlusion, etc.
      
Compared with the expanded trials in clinics, only very limited efforts were made to probe the engineering issues involved, which turns out to be a major obstacle for the successful operation of brain hypothermia resuscitation.
      
Aiming to provide a complete overview of the brain hypothermia resuscitation, this article comprehensively summarizes the recent progresses made in theoretical, practical and experimental techniques in the area.

Twenty-one healthy dogs were randomly divided into four groups: non-ischemic control (n = 4 ); ischemic control (n= 4) ; 34- 36℃ (n= 6 ); 30-32℃ hypothermia (n = 7 ). The malondiadehyde (MDA) content of the heart tissue in groups of 34- 36℃ and 30 - 32 ℃ increased significantly, and the content of LDH in 30 - 32 ℃ hypothermia group...

The resuscitative effect of Fluorocarbon on complete brain ischemia was obserbed in animal model of complete global ischemia. Fluorocarbon, when used immediately after brain reperfusion, can accelerate the recovery of EEG and pupil reflex. The ultrastructural results show that the damage of brain tissue is mild in experimental group (Ⅱ,Ⅲ) than control group (Ⅰ). It suggests the Fluorocarbon can decrrease the degree of reperfusion injury ischemic brain tissue. But there was no synergific effect after combined...

在全脑完全性脑缺血实验犬模型中观察氟碳人造血液对缺血性脑损害的复苏效应。脑再灌流后即应用氟碳血,可促进瞳孔对光反射的恢复,对脑电波的恢复有改变;电镜结果显示实验组(组Ⅱ、Ⅲ)脑组织损害较对照组(组Ⅰ)较微;而且脑皮层组织中SOD和MDA含量明显低于对照组。提示氟碳血可减轻脑缺血后再灌流的继发性损害。但本实验中氟碳血复合低温疗法未见其协同效应。与Ⅰ组相比P<0.01讨论脑缺血损害的机理尚不完全清楚,除脑缺血缺氧的直接作用外,还与脑在重新获得血液供应后的继发性损害有关,亦即再灌注损害。脑组织在缺血后再灌注中可出现“无再通现象”,或延迟性低灌注现象,导致脑组织血供障碍的持续存在;粒细胞及其它血液有形成份在缺血毛细血管内聚集、附着,加重脑微循环障碍,并产生大量氧自由基及衍生物,对脑细胞的脂质成份产生过氧化作用;此外,再灌注期间因血液有形成份的激活,可产生多种水解酶,血栓素,白细胞介素等多种有害物质,并激发血小板聚集,加重脑缺血损害,因此,如能中断上述有害环节,则望有助于减轻脑再灌注损害。从本文结果来看,氟碳血对缺血性脑损害具有一定的复苏效应,主要表现在:1.形态学改变:脑细胞中,线粒体及粗面内质网对缺氧最为敏感,脑?
