This paper propounds an energy method of structural optimization. Under certain constriant conditions, it assumes that the maximum absorbability of structure strain energy is equivalent to its maximum load-bearing capacity. According to this assumption, a Lagrange function in terms of energy is provided, and then, maximize it using variational principle. So, the optimal structures are determined. Taking a cantilever beam as an exampel, the paper describes this method and gives out an analytic solution...

According to this assumption, a Lagrange function in terms of energy is provided, and then, maximize it using variational principle. So, the optimal structures are determined. Taking a cantilever beam as an exampel, the paper describes this method and gives out an analytic solution which is proven by other method. Based upon the same theory and the same example, a numerical method is also mentioned. Theresults show that the two solutions are identical, that is, the numerical solution converges to the analytical solution.

A mathematical programming formulation is presented for reliability based optimization for earthquake resistant frame structures in this paper.In the formulation,the optimal structure is considered to be taken when seismic failure probability of the structure is the minimum subject to restrictions of structural mass and dimension of sections of the structural member.All sets of constraint function are linear and the feasible region is a convex set according to this formulation.The optimality criterion that the structure must satisfy as it is optimal is deduced by using Kuhn Tucker necessary condition,and its physical meaning is also explained in this paper.Finally,an analytic method obtaining derivatives of objective function is provided.

本文以框架结构为研究对象,建议了一个用于结构抗震可靠度优化的模型,把最优结构表达为在给定的材料质量上限值和构件截面尺寸下限值的约束条件下具有最小地震失效概率的结构。模型中的约束函数全部都是设计变量的线性函数,可行域是一个凸域。采用Kuhn-Tucker条件推导了最优解必须满足的准则,据此可以构造出优化的迭代格式。文中讨论了优化准则的物理意义,给出了目标函数对设计变量偏导数的解析求解过程。

Use optimal technology to analyse the simple supported beam aqueduct and to establish optimal structure model.The model makes the cost of reinforced concrete as its object function;dimensions,the amount of prestress strand wires and reinforced bars,and the coordinates of gravity center of longitudinal strand wires as its design variables.And consider its constraint conditions,such as dimensions,crack resistance,strength,rigidity and stability.
