Through the experiment the optimum,half lethal and lethal dosage rate of laser radiation on maize,being called P_g,P_h,P_d value respectively,have been determined.It was discovered that the three values of hybrid maize were higher than those of the parent selling line.The P_g,P_h and P_d val- ues of the dry seed(water content being 10~16%)were the highest,while those of the wet seed(steeped in water for 24 hours)decreased greatly, and the P_d value of germinated seed was less than 1/10 of that of dry seed.The P_g,P_h and P_d values varied when the light bundles of laser radiated on different parts of the seed,among which the embryo could en- dure the least dosage rate.It was demonstrated that the different parts of the maize seed varied significantly in the sensitivity to CO_2 laser,and the embryo was the most sensitive part.When the maize seed was treated with laser at a dosage rate more than half lethal,the plant grew at a slower speed,the leaves contorted and the yield seriously decreased,and the na- tural recovery did not happen neither in hybrid maize nor in the selfing line.However,when the maize seed radiated by CO_2 laser was treated with other factors such as microwave or He-Ne laser at the same time,the injury caused by CO_2 laser could be restored,if the external factors al- lowed.

    试验表明,当二氧化碳激光剂量率一定时,对玉米产生的辐射效应都同玉米的品种、种子所处的生理状态,辐照种子的部位有密切关系。通过试验可以得到激光辐射玉米种子最佳刺激剂量率 P_g 值,半致死剂量率 P_h 值和致死剂量率 P_d 值,并发现玉米杂交种的上述三个值比它的亲本自交系高。干玉米种子(含水量为10~16%)P_g、P_h、P_d 值最大;用水浸泡24小时的湿种子大幅度下降;萌动的玉米种子致死剂量率 P_d 值还不到干种子的1/10。激光光束辐照在玉米种子的不同部位时,P_g、P_h 、P_d 值大小不一样,其中胚部抗受量最小,它说明玉米种子的各部位对二氧化碳激光敏感性差异十分显著,以种子的胚部最敏感。玉米种子经大于半致死剂量率 P_h 值的激光照射时,玉米植株生长缓慢,叶片扭曲,产量大幅度下降,无论是玉米杂交种还是自交系都无自然缓解作用。但是,用二氧化碳激光照射种子的同时加上其它因素如微波、氦—氖激光的复合处理,则二氧化碳激光辐射损伤能在外界条件影响下得到修复.
