How wide a scope of knowledge should a manager have? This is an impor- tant project in the modern management science. This paper disscusses the dialectical relationship between speciality and information, between basic knowledge and updated knowledge, between natural science and social science and between knowledge and abili- ty. These researches are interrelated and simultaneous, and from different aspects comprehensively reflect the characteristics and level of scientific research at different ages.

本文纵观科学技术的历史,概括和论述了科学研究的全面程度、适应程度、准确程度、抽象程度、作用程度、组织程度不断演化和提高的六大趋势,即直观研究—分析研究—综合研究;静态研究—动态研究—黑箱研究;定性研究—定量研究—模糊研究;实物研究—能量研究—信息研究;被动研究—主动研究—先导研究;个体研究—集体研究—联合研究。它们既相互关联,又同时并存,从各自不同的侧面综合地反映不同时代的科学研究特点和水平。
