In order to analyze the validity of testing results for CCCD-SHPB dynamic fracture test system,3-D dynamic finite element method was employed to investigate the effects of specimen's geometric size and incident/transmitted bar's material on the testing results.
By analysing the experimental results, it is found that the screen with solidity σ = 0.3 can efficiently improve the waterflow, and the value agrees well with σ<0.3 suggested by other workers in wind tunnel experiments.
The results indicate that,for the GBM-04A calibration model,the optimal roughness height is between 0.09 and 0.11mm and the roughness elements effectively produce prompt boundary layer transition at trip location without any additional drag occurring for roughness heights within this range.
